When the crunchy noise informed us that brakes were not quite how they were when i'd set out I pulled up and used a file to knock the crumbly edges off the disc which helped to get me home.

Mind you, 'set out' was Sankt Goar on the Rhine and 'pulled up' was Sinzig on the Moselle, and 'get home' was via Belgium and the Netherlands. It serves me right for taking that detour through the Black Forest the day before.

Don't blame me for bringing the weather back with us though, it wasn't yet snowing in Rome when we left.

In my MK3, the driver's seat cushion collapsed.

I had a seat of an unknown Ford.

Of the two seats I gathered one, but not yet welded it to the frame.

Two weeks did not use the car, it was a lot of snow.
Today left, went to buy potatoes.
I drove about 50 km, the engine warmed up, the radiator warmed up, and the cooling liquid remained in the system.
It seems that the head gasket is OK.

Today I managed to achieve the tightness of the non-return valve of my self-made compressometer from the FT injector!

The systematic error of the pressure gauge is 2 bar.
Tomorrow I will try on the machine.

cheers for the off but managed to find a complete axle locally.
£145 delivered.
Dunno what ratio it is although it's come out of a recovery truck the scrapyard used until the body work fell to bits :(

Today I measured the compression of my motor in the third cylinder.
Pressure 38 bar.
This is an excellent result!
In the other cylinders, measurements were not made-the motor has recently been overhauled.
Poor quality video, sorry.

Took the dogs out and got stuck in the snow. found that a transit is pretty good at digging down, throwing lots of crap about and moving again. I just love the van its mental

Ratio unknown :(
