Mk3 Battery Retaining Clamp

Postby finn_mccool » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:42 pm

So today we test-fit the new battery tray - does anyone know where I can get a retaining clamp to fit the front (holds down the bottom of the battery).

I'm guessing that's what the front threaded hole is for...?

Make one?
literally drill a hole in a piece of metal and use it to clamp the base of the battery
with a suitable bolt.

scrap yard .... virtually any vehicle that clamps the bottom of the battery will do.
