Lower ball joint

Postby Aardvark » Fri Mar 10, 2017 8:50 pm

I have been reassembling the front axle/hub/brakes etc. after my latest wheel bearing mishap and fitted a new bottom ball joint at the same time. I then went on ebay to look for items to re-stock my spares shelf. It seems that there is a difference of opinion on whether or not the bottom ball joints are handed left and right, or one unit fits both sides. Having looked at it carefully I can't see any indication of it being a left or right fitting. Anyone have any thoughts?

Mine's a '99 lwb 190 2.5Di.

That's what I thought, but loads of ebay sellers list them as left and right. Some even list them as a seperate part number when the photo shows the same non-handed part.
