Hi Guys,

im currently into getting a smiley again, my favorite Transit generation i admit, and was wondering if somebody has previous
experience with retrofitting isofix into the back seats.. (tourneo)??

As far as i know there are retrofit Kits out there, but im not sure if and how its possible to install them
in the older trannies..

And thats something the wife is requesting

Thanks for any advice

It can't be that hard to do :?

I retrofitted one in a Focus ST with leather seats, which apparently, they don't fit :P

That's true mate,

I figured there would be a way somehow, just wondering if somebody has first hand experience..

They say manned space flight is possible...

I will do some more investigations...first goal is getting the right smiley, and then take it from there..

As I was only driving cargo vans so far, I'm not familiar with the rear seats or the rear mounts, so I need to figure out what type of seats are suitable..

I assume the newer backseats would not fit the older transit models? In case I find a more modern seat somewhere that has the isofix already included?

And are the seat tracks all the same ? So for example I could fit two single seats from an euroline instead of a tourneo back seat or install the folding seat from a nugget instead in the back? Are they all having the same mounts/seattracks in all Smiley's?

Thanks for any advice that helps

Cheers
