My dashboard cupholder slides out. fixable, missing a part?

Postby eresseraca » Thu Mar 16, 2017 2:17 pm

When I bought the van the cup holder was broken. After cleaning out the glovebox I found the spring and part that folds down and mounted it all togehter. It still slides out of the casing completely though. Am I missing a stopper part or is something broken in there?

Would be nice if it'd be repairable... don't wanna pay 20 bucks for some bits of plastic

Slide the holder into the channels in dash, then with it open enough to get your fingers in,
There is a peg on either side of the opening it slides into, click these downhill to stop holder coming completely out.
(You can just make out the pegs on either side in your top picture.)

Thanks Frag! Great news, I can see the pegs now! Sounds like that'll solve the problem. Awesome

The cupholder baffled me too until I figured it out.

The other thing that always baffled me about the cupholder was ...

WHY ONLY ONE???!
