6 stud axle

Just bought a smiley transit, its a 96 with six stud axle, just wondering what the difference is between six stud and five stud, thanks, steve

Just about everything from drums to diff ratio.
I don't think anything is interchangeable between axels they are a totally different shape and design
There is a big difference in the payload each is capable of carrying and the 6 stud is only fitted on the 150 190 and the ultra rare 230 models
