post what the problem is with the pump (lucas?)

someone clued up on the turbo pumps will be able to give advice.
you may be able to repair it and not need a replacement .

The local garage can't fix it-they have put in new seals-the guy knows diesel pumps-does being an automatic have any bearing on getting a new pump? right now my van is at the garage with half and is going nowhere until it's fixed :(

You Don't need a DSA1096, an 1191 or 1190 would also work.

Automatic has no odds on the Pump.

I have a Pump which I have not checked but is reportedly good (except the Stop Solenoid Plunger needs changing - which I will Do with a genuine lucas/delphi part). Off the top of my head it's a DSA1191

If that's of interest let me know...

On reflection please do not find solenoid- I have taken the pump to a specialist-too many dramas and too many peoples contradicting opinions-Thanks though

Ok no issues.

Just found a DSA1096 I had forgotten about which I am pretty certain is good too.

I would normally check them out before offering but due to severe lack of space I can't right now

Hi bud just a little heads up,minor Matt on here really no's his onions when it comes to these epic pumps so any advice he gives take note because he isn't full of sh*t unlike plenty of others on Internet forums, not saying you aren't talking his advice but most diesel specialists no next to nothing about these pumps because there weren't very common even in the days when they were sold new!!!!
So if you want to no if a pump will work on a certain engine look no further :D

Thanks for the concern but the diesel specialist has found me what I need-they are taking the old one to keep the costs down-The other person who ripped me off sent me a pump knowing it would not be compatible-not only that it arrived completely black with no ID plate so no idea which model or which dsa-I will never deal with anyone online again unless they are local and I know they have impeccable credentials-I was desperate for a solution and yet another lying SOB took me and my autism project for a ride..
