outrigger panel?

Postby Richieintransit » Tue May 09, 2017 5:15 am

Hi can anyone give me the proper name for the rot box panel that fits between the chassis and te front of the drivers step, mine's a gonner and rather than trying to fabricate one it would be far easier to buy one,, surely they must exist as they always go!! weirdly my step is solid!! Hope someone can help me identify this part and if anyone has one please let me know, thanks

six to eight weeks! You'd be better off making them yourself ... if you have the facilities and the abilities.

Its called the outrigger.

The above are the only supplier I know of. Not cheap and a long lead time

other options.

this is mainly make them yourself though.

buy a sheet metal bender and some metal.
visit a "local" engineering firm (I'm lucky and have 1 a stones throw away)
give then the dimensions required and they'll bend the metal for you.
Usually they have "off cuts" which would be chucked in the scrap bin anyway.
cost is usually any thing from a fiver to "get the lads some beers" (a tray of fosters from Tesco)
