How well do you know your Transit ?

Postby weseeyou » Wed May 10, 2017 2:04 pm

i've just had the most ridiculous conversation with an unhelpful ,arrogant and self righteous panel seller who flatly refused to check and confirm the sales image and description before I order.

I believe this panel is misdescribed on ebay but the seller assures me it isn't .
Judge for yourself.
Where on your Transit would this panel fit ? rear ? front ? left ? right ? where.

I think its for the rear left going back to the rear of the van behind the corner bumper cover but with excess to be cut back?

That is a mk3 LWB or mk5 extended frame left hand rear panel that goes between wheel arch and the rear (D) pillar

thanks for the replies fellas.
I think Matt has it.

The seller claims that it a left hand side lower rear corner panel to fit behind the rear arch on a LWB
Its obvious from the image that it could only fit an ELWB (jumbo) vehicle but he wouldn't have it.

I thought that it might have been intended to fit in front of the rear wheel arch as I have never seen any ELWB panels before.

I know I have it ;)

There is no such thing as an ELWB XLWB etc, its a LWB but with a body extension (correctly known as an extended frame). The longcube, hughcube and standard LWB all have the same wheelbase of 3570mm. Obviously mk3 wheelbase is different.

The seller is correct in that it fits 86-2000 lwb, just not all varients
