Hi folks,have an R reg standing idle for 3 years but started 1st tip with a good battery but it's water passages are full of orange gunk,is there an easy process to flush this sh*t???? Cheers!

I know this is of no help, but yuck! Can you flush it through with a rust inhibitor treatment? Looks like you need rad cleaner in there lol

I would think its a mixture of coolant, rust and oil...would be easy remmovebel with a hoos and fresh water. :)

Put water pump on (other wise the water will leak a bit)

Fill system up and bleed.
Drop a calgon tablet in the headder tank and drive it for a few days.(used in washers and dishwashers)
Drain cooling system and hopefully the tablet has dislodged all or most of the nasties.

Drain down and repeat if you think it's needed.
