Electrics questions- when I turn my side lights on the full beam light comes on dimly on the dash and the relay starts buzzing then when I turn the headlights on the buzzing from the relay stops but the full beam light on the dash fully lights up? My second problem is that my battery light stays on once the van has started tested battery and alt with a multimeter and all seem good and charging any thoughts, cheers

Does the battery light go out after you apply some gas?

No stays on, did 150 miles of Monday with it on battery and alt both checking out OK with engine on and off.(checked with multimeter)

Fist thing I would do is rattle around with the fuses...
Don't know how to describe this in English...
Probably there is a bad contact somewhere.

Bad earth to the printed circuit on the bach of the instrument cluster

Update, battery light now goes out with revs but comes on at idle, multi ugly wires are corroded and worn could this cause the battery light comes come on at idle but off with revs?

Ugly corroded wire will not help in any way. Replace them and remake any earth point you can find. You'll be glad you did.

Doh should of said multi plug not multi ugly...

2 things regulator on alternator stuffed or you need to change your main thick power postive cable that runs between battery and alternator to a heavier guage that should fix the battery charge light issue
