early turbo diesel fly by wire engine

Postby eleven » Thu Jun 15, 2017 9:00 am

Thank you admin getting me back on.
I have an early 2.5 di turbo engine in me trani, it is a fly by wire which we bined it has run for years ok with a modified CAV pump.
It has packed up (the pump that is) i went through a test program a good while ago so the pump i have sent to diesel bob's he tells me the cav pump is not as good as the bosh.
Is the Bosh pump a direct fit on the engine and fuel lines or do i need replacement pipes also, Has anyone got one they are will ing to part with
(still waiting for a price for repair at Bob's)

Bosch pump is a direct fit, except for the rear support bracket and the fuel pipes to the fuel filter. On a TD engine the pump timing needs advancing.

(A TD engine would never have been fitted with a CAV pump though)

Ok thank you so the steel fuel lines fit on the back of the pump without modifying them
