Mark 5 immobiliser bypass

Postby SamG340 » Wed Jul 05, 2017 7:43 pm

Hi I'm looking for some help with my old transit, some idiot tried to steal it, unsuccessfully, theyve broke the back off the key barrel and took the receiver for the immobilizer, Does anyone know how I can bypass it and get the thing started ? Any help appreciated :D

Get a new ring that goes around the barrel... that isn't coded.

trace the wires back to the wiring harness close to the pump , you can take a wire out of the junction connector and bypass the stop on the pump , ? .

you cant bypass the stop solenoid on the pump .... you can wire it direct to an ignition switched feed.... on front wheel drive vehicles the supply to the reversing light switch is often conveiniently close by.

Nope .............
Ford did make a Fwd mk5.
It was a special order from 2 companies.
1 specialising in the transport of glider engines.
and the second firm delivered balloons and sewing needles.

The second company soon went bust though.

And all of the above is dependant on age and engine.

Where is the stop solenoid on a 2.0 DOHC for example? If you put 12V to the mk5 ESOS solenoid you will kill it etc etc
