Exhaust systems

My 1988 2.5di LWB has just broken the tail section of the exhaust. My local garage has sourced one using the registration number and can fit on Monday morning .

Now.my concern is that I believe 1988 is a change over year ?, and when I had the clutch done recently the clutch that arrived ( ordered using the registration) was the wrong one.

Is this possible there's two different exhausts as well ?, I'm just concerned the wrong one arrives and our holiday is put back by another day.

Help ?!
