Resealing a turbo on a VG

Postby unclebrendo » Sun Jul 09, 2017 12:39 am

Hi Gang.

I've got a 97 VG 2.5 Diesel. It's losing a fair bit of oil out of the turbo. Does anytime do a seal kit for them or am i up for taking to a wildly overpriced turbo expert?

Cheers

Externally? the feed and return have a compression joint and gasket respectively. Easy if a bit fiddly to replace.

Internally? Will want stripping and resealing, kits are available, but you might find is more convenient to buy a new pattern one off e**y.
