mk3 sliding door centre track

Postby charliejo » Mon Jul 17, 2017 8:21 am

hi folks,just a quick question?
is it possible to remove the centre sliding door track on a mk3 without having to drop the door, ive noticed heavy rot starting to appear behind my track and want to get at it,the problem i have is i have nowhere to take the door off so removing just the track is my only option for now cheers guys :?

I don't know if you can do it without removing the side door but you're probably going to need to remove the furniture and lower wall panels on that side to get to the fixings and be prepared for some or all of the studs that hold the track to snap off.
