1987 transit tipper steering box advice

just looking for some advice as been unable to find anyone that can re-con or source another replacement steering box for the above everyone I have spoken too says they can recondition the one in-between this model with the joint above the box but not the straight one I have any help with info if a mk3 will fit without too much modification or someone who can recondition it or a replacement would be much appreciated.

Can you not use the short shaft model with the link they use to connect them up? I think I have a short shaft model on the shelf in my workshop!

The box was modified to the short one because the shaft was known to break on the odd occasion

so what now is the best and easiest thing to do as atm it has no steering and needs fixing asap

That looks like a mk 2 box

take it into the dealer & tell them there's an outstanding recall on the steering box
