Wiper Question

Postby wazzadj » Thu Jul 27, 2017 12:54 pm

Hi Guys , i have a MK4 with the anoying no intermitent wiper delay for my windscreen wiper just the old 2 speed
I really would like a delay on the wipers
DID the next model ever come out with them MK5 and are they interchable on the stalk i all so noticed my indicators dont cancel on the stalk after you have completed the turn
So maybe if i can change the whole assembly to the next model would be awesome

your help appreciated

cheers

On my Mk3 the stalk goes down for intermittent wipe then up for each of the 2 constant wiper speeds. I'd assume the mk4 would be the same. And it usually self cancels.

The down sweep is just for a single wipe, not intermittent :) I don't remember my Mk5 having intermittent either, Ford have been a bit slow fitting this feature to Transits, considering that it was fitted to my '79 Escort

Both my Mk5s, V and W reg, have intermittent wipe, the lever locks down. Try holding it down for a couple of mins and see if it works.

My Mk5 has got intermittent wipe ... It's a '98, maybe they fitted it in later ones?
