Dashboard blanks

Postby Portafold » Sun Jul 30, 2017 8:47 pm

My MK3 pre-smilie dashboard has a lot of blanked-off switches and a couple of blanked-off rectangular slots below the speedo.

Can anyone tell me what switches were optional on the Mk3? I've only got a rear fog light switch at the moment, with five blanks.

And what went into the rectangular slots? Was it an early digital device/on-board computer?

Cheers

From memory
Rear Fog
Front fog
Cargo area light
Heated rear screen/s
Rear screen washer (tailgate model)
Rear wiper (tailgate model)

Other holes might not be standard, but headlamp leveling was a rare option.

Hey guys.

Can any of the above switches be salvaged from similar aged alternative ford models ? Or has anyone filled the blanks with a switch from another vehicle that has looked good?
I love my Banana engine but my is it noisy.
