Hi Everyone, I'm hoping you may be able to answer a little query I have .....
The van im question is a T reg 2.5t which has had a new timing belt fitted, along with a new tensioner.
Since fitting those, I have the engine management light coming on once the engine is warm.
I suspect it is due to 'rotor bolt up limits' being exceeded which suggests that the belt may be a tad loose? It went on perfectly and was checked for correct timing and tensioner position several times.
The van runs well, no smoke, pulls ok - is this likely to cause problems ie piston damage? Is this just a pump issue? EPIC pumps seem to fault.......... is this common with the newer type tensioners slipping?.....
Many questions which my limited experience of Transits cannot answer, but I hope you can?
I really appreciate any thoughts!
Cheers!
