Fuel injector puller, injectors, injector accessories

Postby sirhenryford » Thu Aug 17, 2017 7:17 pm

Ford Transit Motor home. Year 2000. Black smoke getting worse. Injectors should be changed at 60K now 70K. Need a Ford removal tool 23-030 or proprietary injector puller in case there is a problem removing the injectors. I read elsewhere to undo the bolt a little leaving it fitted around the injector, undo the diesel union then, simply turn the engine over and the compression within engine should pop the injector up. But I may prefer an injector tool that also makes refitting injectors easier. Where can I get one? Have enquired with a Ford Dealership already.

Also where can I get good quality cheap injectors, the dust seal washers, PTFE sealing washers, and banjo union copper washers and NOT ebay.

Why you think it's injectors??, never changed them even with 250k done, have you done egr blank off..change fuel filter...di engines will always give out a bit of black smoke,if it's driving ok I'd leave alone and just service

Black smoke = too much fuel and not enough air.

If you haven't tampered with the pump to up the fueling
then look at why it's not breathing freely (air filter)

I think the ptfe seals were about £3.50 each from Ford last time I needed them.
Dust seals I haven't got a clue (reused old ones)

Injectors (without buying online) Ford / diesel specialist or salvage yard.cost ????????

Never needed a special tool to remove Di injectors (plenty to get hold of) wiggle and pull
up at the same time.

Copper washers (most motor factors have a box of various sizes and will supply the correct size for not a lot of money)
or toolstation/screwfix etc.
do an assorted box.
ne m'écoute pas je suis plein de merde.

Too bloody quiet
