1999 Transit engine to a 2008 Transit

We have a 1999 Transit Campervan that is riddled with rust but has a good engine with low milage. We are looking at a 2008 Transit that has no motor which we can get cheap.
Just wander if anyone knows if the 1999 Transit diesel engine (which is still good) would fit into the 2008 Transit.

Any engine will go into any car/van..if you try hard enough, few ppl have put DI engines into newer transit...but not a simple task imo
