Cylinder 2 no effect with injector function test

Postby Conrad » Tue Sep 19, 2017 9:40 pm

Hi guys new to joining site but have found a lot of info from here before. I have a93 transit with banana engine and bosch fuel pump. Had the timing belt break on me a few days ago. I have fixed the belt retired and replaced push rod didn't have a feeler gauge at the time to check the valves( was on the side of the road) got it running and home but it's running on 3 cylinders. Injector is good swapped it with cy 1 and all fine but number 2 getting fuel but has no effect on the engine when I crack it open. Was hoping to get some advice on this. I was thinking it might be a valve staying slightly open because of the changed push rod. Help please

Yep it's probably a valve issue due to the pushrod changing the clearence.
