If you have 10 mm bolt outside the block, I would go for welding a nut on it to.
Writing was not invented to look for spelling errors :wink:

I only have a stick welder. and little experance

There is also a problem also. My electrics comes from a neighbors house with over 150m of normal cable. I had thought I was crap at welding until I tried it at a friends house and it worked so much better.

I have though blob welded a few things here some of which broke.

If the manifold is off, take it to your local small garage or engineer. They can't charge much to weld a nut on and if it fails they may have another idea.

i think snapon or bluepoint easyouts used to come with a guide ? which stopped you going off course when drilling. If its a di there bolts not studs with the exception of the early turbo which i think had one stud on number 4 cyl ?
