MK7 bull bar on a MK5?

Is it worth trying to fit a MK7 bull bar to a MK5?

I was more thinking about fitting the spare wheel to it, and maybe some spots...

Moving the spare wheel to the front is not such a bad idea...
Anyone tried it before?? What about the cooling radiator?
It would make room under the transit for an extra tank... water? diesel? :)
Please keep us informed :)

I'm toying with the idea of front mounting the spare wheel, but it looks more likely that it's going to be bolted to the rear door. Unfortunately the bonnet is not strong enough to carry the spare.

Rear doors are also not strong enough for that, so you will need some serious construction inside the door (as I do on mine). And don't think about "a plate" unless it is made of at least 5mm steel and 4 times the size of the wheeelmount ;-)

Well, i haven't yet simply drilled a few holes in the door, and I'm seriously considering using a bull bar to mount the wheel.... And to top it all, I don't trust the original Ford supplied mounting for the spare wheel....
