Can you solve the mystery ...???

Hi all, I've recently taken on a mk5 99 2.5di transit campervan. It's coach built and not some bodged home effort, but does need some love. Theresa few holes that I've filled but cannot work out the "mystery" of the spray paint to use, I've pretty much tried all tins in halfords to no but still no good. On the logbook it states "beige", I've tried to work out the colour from the vin plate but I'm baffled.. Please some one help me solve this !!
Cheers all

Have a look on the slam panel under bonnet, drivers side near bonnet prop. There should be a metal plate,
What does it say on that,(and what colour is it underbonnet / slam panel) chances are it didn't leave the factory "beige"
And was painted after....

You were spot on, the colour has changed from the original. It's gone from white to cream, which is a right pain to match up patching up the rust marks !!

Yes sorry, didn't mean to have a poke. I've seen loads of banging home builds, but also a few not so good. I might try taking the grill down to a sprayers and see if they can make a tin up ;)
