Minibus seat swap

Postby Tom Smith » Sat Jan 27, 2018 9:02 pm

Hi everyone, I have just purchased a k reg 92 mk 4 lwb minibus, 2.0 petrol injection with only 59.000 miles, it’s a peach but all but 2 of the seats are lap belts, I wonder does anyone know how hard it would be to upgrade the seats to the 3 point harness type from a later van, I would have just bought a later bus but what was so tempting was this one is 26 yrs old and therefore only £165 to insure on a classic bus policy, I’ve not done any measuring yet but I’m guessing it ain’t gonna be a streight swap, anyone done this before ? Any guidance at all would be great

The Mk5 ones should be a straight swap, but not sure about later vans.

I have a rear pair here (4th row) from a Mk5 but they're from a 12 seater which straddle the wheel arch, the LWB may be different :(
