X reg transit pickup

Hi guys , I’ve just got myself a pickup , she’s abit rough but I’m looking forward to be doing her up, please can u help me with a few problems please , the radio inside is a original ford one , it won’t turn on , there is power there , I know this because there’s a little flip out piece with numbers 1 to 6 on it, and under that there’s a red light lit up , please can u help me get the radio up and running

5283 bvt. ( this is showing on my transit pickup radio , nothing else working on it

There may be 2 positives going to the radio, 1 is ignition live and the other is permanent live, I would suggest 1 is not working which is common for radios not to work, so you need to check if and both fuses then possibly remove the radio and test for power.

Also consider if the power button is the big push knob, it might not work. So based on that you might need to replace it.
