Yes my pump took ages cranking to bleed it properly.

Silly question but have you connected a 12v feed to the fuel stop solenoid?

Mind you if you have fuel squirting from injectors then you must have.

A squirt of "encouragement" at this stage would help.

easy start/wd40/gt85/brake cleaner any thing combustable.
If it fires on that you're half way there.

Yes it will run on easy start but no response to the throttle and dies once you stop spraying. Everything else seems good and i cant believe it wouldn't fire just once even if the timing was out a tooth or even two but then no real smoke to speak of so that says no real fuel delivery even if mis-timed.

Chuggy, has your pedal just got a right angle in it or is it dog-legged like the picture in the link that Cherniy-chack has posted of the LHD version?

trying to build a picture.
epic system (it's witchcraft to me)
to Bosch manual.
So you pinned the flywheel in the correct hole/cam pinned when you took the epic pump off?
replacement pump (bosch) new belt/idler pulley.
All installed and fuel up to the injectors.
Cranking over and it'll fire on easy start or similar but won't run otherwise.

That's right except the new belt and tensioner not fitted yet, i will keep with the old until she's running.

Did you pin the cam and flywheel before you took the belt and pump off or did you fit the pump then turn the cam and flywheel separately? You may have used the wrong hole in the flywheel? The pin should go all the way thru'.

Yes pinned everything before i slackened the belt. Flywheel pin goes right through. Basically followed autodata instructions.

Do the injectors generally come out easily on these? I may try and pipe up an injector out of the head to see if it is opening ( in a safety concious way of course).

I gave the injection pump to my son to replace Lukas EPIC.My son was unable to start the engine for two days. This Bosch injection pump was previously installed on my machine and worked normally. We managed to start the engine after I increased the fuel supply (refueling) with the total delivery propeller.Normally, the common feed screw has a limiter.Perhaps you also need to remove the limiter and increase the total fuel supply.
The blue and orange injectors for the EPIC fuel pump have other settings and other dimensions and may not open from the worn-out injection pump if Bosch has a standard fuel delivery setting.
You can remove one or more injectors and see how they spray the fuel.

The injection pump Lucas EPIC has four convergent plungers, which provide a very high rate of buildup of discharge pressure and a discharge pressure of about 900 bar.
The wear of the plunger pairs has little effect on the injection characteristics.
The wear of the plunger pair of the Bosch injection pump leads to an increase in internal leaks inside the plunger pair and the impossibility of creating a high injection pressure.
To compensate for increased leaks, you need to increase the fuel supply with a common-feed screw.
Or maybe our friend igotalake just did not guess the initial angle of injection. That's why the engine does not start.
After all, nobody checked the injection pump before installation?

Thanks for the pedal photo but i can't tell if yours is cranked like a dog leg or just a 90° angle.

I have pulled an injector and turned over the engine with a good strong battery today and nothing came out. Either the pump is knackered or maybe i will play with the fuel adjustments before i look for another pump. Maybe the 100ps injectors need more pressure than the 76ps injectors?

Opening pressure of ALL injectors Ford Transit Mk3,4,5 is the same and equal to 275 ... 280 bar.
If the nozzle does not "shoot" when the starter motor scrolls, there are three possible reasons:
1- 12 volts is not supplied to the shut-off valve of the fuel pump;
2-faulty shut-off valve;
3-worn plunger steam injection pump.
To exclude the effect of a faulty shut-off valve, it can be unscrewed, pulled out of it a steel cylindrical core and a valve without a core set in place.
At the free end of the core should be a rubber tip.
If he is not, then he stayed in the well in the injection pump and he must be removed from there.
The wire to the valve can not be connected.
If after that the injectors will not "shoot", then the fuel pump is defective.
igotalake,it looks like you were deceived by the fuel pump dealer and pedals.
It happens. :(
