Cold start inhibitor switch / bosch Transit 2.5 di 1994

Postby jrg2018 » Thu Feb 01, 2018 8:53 pm

Can anyone help me on locating or sourcing a cold start inhibitor switch ( the one behind fuel filter that threads into engine block) its the switch that works with the bosch injector pump 0460 414 083 with cold start valve/wax. Or know what part number it is?
Many thanks

If the rest of the system is working,i.e. Waxstat is good,it will work fine by just bridging the switch out.
I doubt you will even notice the difference.
Switch puts a live to pump to release coldstart as engine warms, but waxstat takes a while to move.
I ran mine bridged cos it works same on start up,knocks coldstart and high idle off quicker.

I had trouble finding a good, working waxstat they're obsolete from ford I believe.

I know dozens of owners of Ford Transit and there is not one who has a serviceable accelerator for cold start-up of the KSB.
