Mk 5 Immobliser

Hi Guy's . My immobliser works, As i won't start with a unchipped key . But haven't got a flashing LED when van is locked ! Any ideas ?

What year is the van :?:
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)

That year, the light should be in the headlining, near to the interior cab light :)

I don't think mine flash when van is locked...

LED has no relation to locking at all....
Early ones near interior light don't flash,it should come on for a few seconds when ignition turned on then go off
(It will only flash if there's a fault,rapid at first then later the 2 digit code)
The later one on dash does flash,if I remember right (when ignition is off)
