Hi Guys,
i'm currently overhauling my MT75 transmission of my MK5 Transit. I want to renew the main shaft input bearing.
But now, i'm facing with the problem, that i didn't know how i should mount the new bearing. I didn't have the special tool which is described here http://www.super7thheaven.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/ldv-mt75-mvp105601gb.pdf on page 37.
The guy in the following thread, is using a hammer and a block of wood.

In my point of view, he will harm the new input bearing, because the force is transmitted via the rolling elements in the bearing.
Could someone describe his procedere to mount the input bearing an reassembly the transmission?
Thanks a lot!
PS: Sorry for my bad english...
