LSD options on an 02 transit?

Postby axam102 » Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:05 pm

Are there any options for an LSD on a 02 transit? reason I ask is that I'm converting into a camper for race weekends on wet to boggy mud. Will be fitting some off road tire rated at the correct weight and would like two wheel drive over one

Interested also ( for my mk7 ) but gave up as an axle swap from a different vehicle seemed only option - i will weld my diff up instead :D

As far as I know, they weren't available in the mk6,even as an option or SVO.
I don't even think the mk7 awd has lsd rear axle

(Unless your '02 is one of those real late mk5's)

Is the 4.63 diff from a mk5 not compatible with the mk6 rear wheel drive? I am sure the crown wheel and pinion is a direct swap so the diff should go too. But finding a lsd will be hard work.
