Does your bushing have a place for installing a rubber seal ring?

Here, this ring is installed between the camshaft and the bushing and will be clamped by the camshaft pulley.

yes definitely, i even replaced the o-ring with new ones. so now installing the genuine seal using the installer tool i fabricate from the machineshop. and the installer tool will ensure that the seal depth 6mm from the front. is the depth safe enough? im thinking of 6mm because when i measure the front plate, it was 22mm thick and minus 11mm thickness from the seal it self so i decide to install the seal halfway through leaving a gap of 5mm from the back. i hope this works

Hello Guys,
An update. installed another camshaft seal for the 6th time and i have used a spring tensioned seal this time. it still leaking under high revs. but significantly reduced. really out of idea whats going on right now with the camshaft. i even installed the seal with installer tool. and it was dead straight.

Oh what a bummer, I've racked my brains but cannot fathom this out, and never had any problem like this myself, but I do feel for you after six attempts and still no success. Twelve out of ten for your perseverance though :D
but it does seem like you've got one of those real head scratcher problems.

it is PITA to solve the issue. it seems that its just want to leak no matter how i solve it. its definitely leaking at the camshaft sleeve tho. replaced the sleeve twice and 6 camshaft seal but still ends up with the same issue. its like the oil was pressurized towards the seal. i even put sealant around it and on every bolts on the intermediate plate as you can see in the picture

Hi, transit1160!
In your photo I do not see a sealing ring between the camshaft and the bushing.
On my photo, such an orange ring is installed.
Without this ring there will be oil leakage at the joint of the bushing, shaft and pulley.

he said on page 3 he fitted o ring. You want either the metal (blue?) seal or the later black seal those orange ones are early York ( i think ! )

hello there,
really appreciate the comments. well, i had replaced 6 seal. 1 seal is from an overhaul gasket kit which is the worst quality i think but its the latest black seal. 2 seals also black made by FEBI and it doesn't felt snugged around the bushing which causes tremendous oil leaks. another 2 is also black seal and believe it or not, its genuine ford seal also causing leaks. and the 6th seal, its the spring tensioned seal...still leaks but much better than before. and i used the seal installer tool for the last two seals and i am confident its installed dead straight. i even measured it. i also put silicone sealant as per previous picture, and also installed the o-ring also with silicone sealant. i even put silicone sealant to the mating surface of the camshaft pulley to the camshaft. so i don't see any reason for it to leak on the o-ring. to me, this engine is haunted. to my understanding after 6 seals replacement. oil shouldn't accumulate on the bushing itself because of the oil galley that goes to the sump. could worn camshaft bearing also cause oil to be pressurized towards the seal? i don't think this leaks something to do with the oil seal issue.

I'm old, inattentive, I see poorly and even worse understand Google-translator. :(
Now I know that the joint of the bushing, camshaft and pulley is hermetic.
But there is a leak of oil.
The reason may be in the camshaft radial play.

Color of seal is not important.
Even in such a poor country as Ukraine, I can find a dozen seals of different manufacturers.
Orange seal was bad,I replaced it.
