Repacing Headlights

Postby frankieboy231 » Tue Mar 20, 2018 7:01 pm

Need to replace scratched plastic headlights on my 1997 LCY150 (not sure if that's a Mk 3,4 or 5), Only supplier I can find is Ebay/plastic. Anyone got a link or name to buy proper glass ones please?

97 will be a mk5 :D
Glass lights will be Mk4 ones (straight fit)
same as the mk5 units only glass lenses not plastic.

Contact this seller on ebay, I got mine from him, he has RH side listed but probably can get LH side.

If you can’t find some glass ones you can get a kit to polish them or take it to someone who does them

You can polish your old units using some polishing/cutting compound & electric polishing mop, spray some water on now & and again to stop overheating the lenses.

Price them in your local motor factors
Should be different listings for up to 95 and 95-00
Order for up to 95 and you should get glass ones
I got them to ring the supplier and check they were glass before they ordered them for me (really pays to have a good relationship with the parts guys, couple of tins of chocolates at christmas for them is well worth it)
