I discovered a MAJOR leak, I thought it was oil coming from bottom end of engine, not sure but looks like a pump.
I had my next door neighbour take a look, he fixes all the diesel engines in our neighbourhood, and he says I'm spilling diesel, from what he gathers is the camshaft. He is not famiiar with Ford engines, but warns me that driving with a major diesel leak straight on my exhaust is asking for fire.
Took it to Atlas repair, but they couldn't help me. Stopped by another motor repair, and they looked at it and said that, while not familiar with the Transit, I'm leaking oil, a lot, mostly when running and that it is a pump that needs replacement and that the gasket is missing. Is this a lost cause?

I did read up on the firum, and assume from there that it is the oil pump, but then, I've never done more than starting to maintain my Passat, which I now swapped out for my new home.
