It's so easy-to distinguish the oil leak from fuel leakage.
On the color, taste and smell.
The oil is always dark, the fuel is light and more liquid.
The oil has a taste and almost no odor, fuel has no taste, but it smells strong.
Not hygienic, but fast and reliable.
The oil can flow through the joint of the pump and the unit or through the control opening in the pump's "leg".
Fuel can flow through the joint of the "leg" and the lid with the fittings, through the connection of the pressure connection and quick disconnect or catastrophically through the control hole.
A close inspection and feeling, a taste of taste and smell for three minutes will give an answer about the leakage, the location and the amount of leakage.
Replacement of the pump with a rubber ring gives almost 100% guarantee against further leakage.
Very rarely there is a fuel leakage through fast connection of the fuel pipe.

Mine was leaking also, but could nit find it, because of the alu protection foil.
I could fasten the bolts more than one turn, and the leaking stopped.
It is not so good to see if it's oil or diesel, it;s always black.... and I don"t lick stones to find out :D
