Mk5 Revcovery truck air suspension advice

Postby luke_robinson » Thu May 17, 2018 10:06 pm

Hi, im after some advice on what to go for when opting to fit air suspension ive seen the dunlop kit on ebay for £500’ish.
Long story short is the truck was done in august i just added and extra spring but i think they’re tired now after use tbh, it’s about £400’ish for extra heavy duty springs for it from ebay from the company in birmingham forgot what they’re called. so was just wondering what is required for the compressor pipe work and wiring switch board etc?

  My brother gets that alott, we bought it with alot of rust, the bottom section of steel box is 6mm and the top steel box in pictures is 5mm, the original chassis was abit rotton so pretty much that was pushed inside the original chassis section after rust treatment.
Back axle moved, one leaf spring added and new bushes installed and new bushes installed into shock absorbers, Timing belt and water pump done, serviced, new turbo.

But it's now broke again, unless you press the clutch pedal it wont turn over, think the gearbox input shaft bearing has collapsed, Got a box to go in it with a new clutch, rear main and spigot shaft bearing, i also need to put 2 coil springs on it and a wheel bearing

Is that overhang even legal? What’s the law on it? from memory it’s something like 2/3 of the wheel base of the van :!:
Your pushing that by the looks of it
