MK3 Gearbox Issue / Concern

Postby Steve.w » Fri Jun 08, 2018 10:30 am

Hi all,

1989 G reg Ford Transit Autosleeper 2.0 petrol 5 speed manual -

Basically it shudders badly in reverse and the thrust bearing is noisey until you put your foot down on the clutch, time for a new clutch kit im thinking,

Now then …. my concern is ive looked underneath at the gearbox and it appears to me as if something is missing?? im no expert but any help or advice would be great.

ive uploaded a video onto youtube which I thought may help better to understand my concern rather than me try to explain it..

Thankyou.

thats the wrong cover    . you need to get the box out & replace the missing bolts in the adapter plate as there prone to snapping the lugs off the engine block when missing. also the lower plates missing
