Windscreen rubber

Postby finn_mccool » Sun Jun 10, 2018 2:31 pm

Two questions.

1. What's the name of the black rubber trim which covers the edges of the windscreen channel prior to installing a new windscreen called?

2. Where can I get it?

This rubber is called the "windshield seal".
Under the rubber, when it comes to the windshield (front), a layer of black sealant is applied.
Before applying the sealant, the window opening is treated with a primer to improve the adhesion of the sealant to the paint.
Before the primer, the window opening is degreased by any solvent that does not damage the paint.
