What size steel for chassis repair

Postby po79 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 2:32 pm

Hi guys,
As title really, what thickness steel do you use for the chassis.
I'm thinking 2mm.
Plus any one recommend a cheap supplier, I'm in Bridgend South Wales.
Also I'm replacing the spring hanger osf any know of a good thread on here that I could read, it looks straight forward but sometimes there are ways to make these things easier that you don't find out until your done the done yourself.
Cheers,
Po79.

2mm is fine :D

Best place for cheap metal is usually small local engineering firms.
They usually let you rake through the scrap/off cut bin in exchange for a few quid.
ne m'écoute pas je suis plein de merde.
A house without a dog is like a forum without a BJT.
Too bloody quiet
