transit 190 brake discs

Postby crystalvoyager » Mon Mar 04, 2024 6:24 pm

Hello
Can anyone help, I'm trying to purchase a pair of brake discs for my 190 transit.
It's a 1999 lwb 190 with 270mm 6 stud disc.
I've been trying for weeks now but I've had no success.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I got a pair last year no problem.

eBay and euro car parts have them

I've been searching ebay for more than a week but there isn't any 6 stud 270mm
Discs the same as fitted to my van. Same with Eurocarparts, I've tried as
Far as breakers in Poland bit none has a pair.
They are the type of disc that the hub has to be removed and the disc is then
Hammered off the back of the hub.
They are also the vented type.

Which are the same as mine

5 bolts hold them on the hub.

This type?

Yes that's them, 270mm but can't find them anywhere.
No-one seems to stock them including my local Ford dealer!

Are you getting mixed up with the fact your van has 6 wheel studs but the discs are only held on the hub with 5 bolts??
All smiley transit models have discs that are held on with 5 bolts regardless if you have 5 or 6 wheels studs :!:
You really should have no issue getting the correct discs for your van with the registration number?
But as already asked maybe you aren’t from the uk? This might be different in non uk countries but certainly should be easy to get them in the uk.
