Hi all, checked the oil the other day,and the dipstick was DRY
,topped it up took nearly 2 litres to bring level to inbetween min and max.
The oil light never came on while driving, thought it would of if it was that low,it does work as it lights up when switching on,the oil in it is shell diesel plus 10-40w. This past couple of days, the smoke in the morning when starting is whiteish with a bit of blue mixed in,,when it starts it idles roughly and after a couple of revs its fine.
Il check the oil again in a couple of days as i say,and if the level is low again, then must be the valve stem valves as steve b and scooby suggested,my garage can't do it at the moment,is it a hard job to do,or can an amatuer like me manage it?
