2.9 v6 flywheel

Postby judgie » Wed Aug 17, 2011 9:42 am

i have done a search but cant find it.
any one got a link or some pictures of what one looks like or how to make the pinto one fit the v6? whats the differance between the car flywheel and the v6 one?
its the only thing stopping me fitting the 2.9 into the van at the moment. well apart from the fitting the new wings, front panel and bonnet. I'm also replaceing the front cross member with a tube frame so a big rad is not a problem.
Doing the tube frame so i have somthing decent/strong to mount the new bull bar on as the mounts for the one that was on there are shocking and thats what cuased most of the damage in the aceident when they shared off.

in that thread you linked to it said you can use the pinto adaptor and the 2.9 flywheel? or did i read it wrong?
I'm going to pull the pinto out sometime soon and see what will fit what.
spoke to a mate last night who told me he just bolted his 2.9 in with a 2.9 flywheel and clutch. he is a bt of a cock so i think he got a motor from a transit rather than a car.

transit mt75's and car mt75's are different bellhousings - there are lots of way round it but unless you use pukka svo stuff you'll have to mod things to make it fit right :D
