Hi, yesterday switched off my Transit and the Ignition/oil/handbrake and airbag lights stayed on even thought the engine switched off ok, when i switch the ignition back on the service lights come on as normal and all goes out when started, anyone come across the before as i now have to disconnect the battery to extinguish the lights staying on.Cheers

Try unplugging the alternator and see if the lights go out

Disconnected the alternator main feed but with no results, so seam to think it could be a relay stuck, even though i had removed the ignition relays, fault is still there, have now found the remote for the doors/alarm is not working,
You can operate the wipers/heater ect with the ign key out. this has got me stumped and dont wish to take it to Ford dealer as they are so expensive here.
More ideas please as what to check next

Frag, you are a star mate, it was what you said top left fuse No 73(yellow), took it out and the lights when out, in my Ford owners manual it says fuse 73 is the Ciger Lighter so i must have put a fuse in by mistake when i fouud this slot empty afer checking them over, In the Haynes Ford Transit repair manaul which i have just bought it says fuse 73 is the ABS/Audio Sytem which is what you said,so the Ford Owners Manual is wrong, without you posting this advice it would have taking me ages to have sorted this out,Thanks again.
