Why would he need to? What is it that changes on the valve to need renewing?

if it comes out in pieces, spring plunger etc. then its blown and needs a new one.

should just be in one piece and screw into rail.

you need to unscrew it to be sure.If it comes out in bits its knackered.Even if it comes out in bits you can put it back in if you havnt got a new at hand.

No, it needs to be recalibrated using Ford ids, the count reset is part of the process

just spoke to ford about getting booked in for the pcm recalibration and i have been told that they have to do a full check of the system at a cost of £90.
just thought i'd share.

Hi after reading this post my van has something similar was wondering if any1 knows wht to do next after buying it 2 weeks ago it's had new injector seals 'fuel tank emptied and cleaned new filter it's had new turbo pressure relief valve and PCM update this cured rough idle and van drove ok for 2 days then it wouldn't start but only when engine hot so I put a bigger battery in the next day engine management light came on and later the cog?powertrain? Light came on and it's now in limp mode . I can't afford to put it bk in2 ford ,any ideas ? It's a 56 plate 2.2 fwd 85/280 thanks
