Indicator Trouble - NEED HELP!

Postby Gripper Rob » Mon May 20, 2013 10:44 pm

Hi, in need of help!

Basically my alarm stopped recognising my fob whilst miles away from home, so called AA who came out and gained access to my van and disoconnected my alarm as he thought the alarm was knackered ...but now the rear passenger indicator doesnt work(yes, even with a new bulb) and also when I put the hazards on it causes my brake light to flash rather than the indicator. This has got me baffled and would really appreciate any advice on what the problem might be and any possible remedies to this problem! Thanks, Rob.

is it the Ford fob or an after market alarm?
have you checked the basics like the contacts where the harness connects to the bulb holder?

It is a Laser Line alarm ...I did quickly check the contacts as I had a bad earth which I have managed to sort but still have this problem. I will thoroughly check all the contacts again and see if this helps.

Are you 100 percent sure it worked before they disconnected the alarm, just sounds like dodgy earth issues.

This /\ or corrosion across the plug contacts ? alarms dont usually tap into the brake lights only sidelights or indicators :?:
