Gear selector cable

Postby exarmyjedi » Tue May 21, 2013 6:59 pm

Guys i want to make my gear change a bit tighter as it seems to be 'loose' and sometimes crunching into gear unless i really force the stick towards the gear, how would i adjust the selector cable?

In advance thanks guys :) :) :)

under the van below gearstick there's a black box unclip and you then see the cables..

Fit a M10 X 30MM bolt into the hole through the cable mounting as shown to lock the gear leaver in to neutral.

Image

Once the gear leaver is locked you then need to remove the 2 metal clips on each cable and then push forward the black plastic piece that the clip is holding on.

Adjust the cable, push the black plastic piece back again, replace the clip, take out the bolt and check the gears.

Have you also checked the bolt on the selector?
