Transit mk6 jack?

Postby essexchris » Sun Aug 13, 2017 9:39 pm

So flat tyre on the m25.... no worries I'll change it with my spare... wait my jack is there but the handle thing with the key on the end to lower the spare wheel isn't! NIGHTMARE!

Any idea where I can get one of these from guys?

Thanks in advance

I was point in out he doesn't need that crap sissor jack

As for getting the wheel down without the handle undo the 10mm bolts that hold the winder to the chassis

Been their done it got the t shirt

A big ass flat blade screw driver will do the job of lowering the spare...then get a bottle jack like Karl said....

Those scissor jacks are dangerous unless on flat solid ground....even then they're a bit ordinary.

My van didn't come with the spare wheel wind down tool either. I made one up with a 1/2" to 3/8" socket adapter and use it with my breaker bar. You just have to cut a couple of sections off the 1/2" square bit and it does the job great. I'll see if I can find a photo
