Alternator Problems

2008 SWB 2.2 Bog Standard. Who supplies an Alternator that wont cost the earth. My red charging dash light has been coming on a lot latly.Now its on permanently. I put a Multy meter on and the reading was only 12.5 with the occasionally jump to 13v with the Engine running.I was thinking Eurospares.Leamoco, Halfords, Any suggestions as to where is a decent place to buy Alternator. My big worry is if I buy one and its a Hong-Kong Special it will pack up in a few months.. What's your experience of a decent place to buy from ??

You are a bit far from me but I use a local company that re manufacture than with a 2 or 3 year 100000 mile guaratee

Found a place near to me who has been reconditioning /Refurbishing Alternators for years . He also fits them.So its going in this week to have a Refurbished exchange one fitted.
